Vegan friendly print?

I’ve been asked on a few occasions recently…”Are your toners Vegan friendly?”….”Is your ink Vegan friendly?”

At first I was a bit sceptical and wondered if this is just another fad and not something to take too seriously.

But then, I downloaded COSH data from some of the manufacturers that we support and my findings were not comfortable.

Testing on animals seems to be part of the production of toner and whilst I understand the arguments for making things safe for humans, I’m not sure that ethically I agree.

Yes, I am a meat-eater.

Yes, I want people to be free from risk in the workplace.

But at what cost?

Isn’t it time we found a better way?

Do YOU know of any manufacturer that is looking closely at the ingredients and methods of producing ink/toner, to address this point?

It’s already being done with tattoo ink…

I’d love to hear from you.

  1. Hi Paul

Interesting question, I think there are two sides to this Vegan and Cruelty Free.
For sure there are many companies that produce inks that contain no Animal Products but finding a Cruelty Free Ink may be a lot more complicated.
