In our rush for higher quality colour output, it is easy to forget that monochrome applications still provide a huge potential for revenue.

Monochrome engines are available from many OEM’s, but the Xerox Nuvera remains my favourite.

In my role as monochrome marketing manager for Xerox, I made a point of knowing the competition well, with a view to understanding how Xerox Nuvera excels.

The story is compelling.

Nuvera is available is speeds from 120ppm to 314ppm with some very interesting substrate ranges

BUT…it’s not all about feeds and speeds.

The highest image quality available in monochrome half-tones can give you access to markets that you may have previously thought were only offset domains.

With run lengths declining and faster turn around being required, how are you going to meet the demand?

And what a demand there is!

Monochrome still holds an enormous opportunity…. The future’s bright, it’s black and white!
